College is more than just academics.

Getting involved with student organizations and social activities is one of the best ways to round out your college experience. It’s also a great way to get to know your classmates, your campus and the surrounding city.

Create Yourself

At JWU, you’ll find a full social life and lots of ways to get involved and have fun. Our Providence and Charlotte campuses offer a wide choice of social events including comedians, bands, entertainers and much more. We also have speakers ranging from best-selling authors to scientists and entrepreneurs. With more than 100 student organizations across our campuses, you’re sure to find at least one that fits your interests, or gets you interested in something new.

Student Organizations

We offer a wide range of organizations from recreational and artistic to career related, student government, environmental, athletics, theater, fashion and more. Some of our most popular clubs for international students include the Global Citizen Program, Chinese Student & Scholar Association (CSSA), Namaste Nepal (Nepalese Student Association), Taiwanese Student Association, Indian Student Association, Saudi Club and the Cultural Connections Club. Organizations for more specific interests include the JWU Surf Club, JWU Vocal Ensemble, Pride Alliance, Travel and Tourism Club, International Fashion Society and more.

Make Friends for Life

Join a community service group to develop socially, intellectually and professionally — and build lifelong friendships.

Step Up and Stand Out

Build your resume, network and compete against students from other colleges across the U.S. by joining JWU’s National Student Organizations (NSO) — a great way to build career skills, make professional connections and gain specialized and practical skills.

Athletics

Our Wildcat athletic teams have won lots of big games, competitions and championships. JWU offers a wide range of sports including ice hockey, basketball, soccer, golf, baseball and tennis, among many others. Our Providence Campus is home to 16 NCAA DIII varsity teams, 7 GNAC Rookies of the Year, and 7 Coaches of the Year. If you’re not planning on joining a team, stay active in any of the club sports, intramurals and free fitness classes we offer in our Wildcat fitness centers.
