Tour Our Charlotte Campus

The fall semester begins on Monday, August 31 for all students. Consistent with the university’s decision, the Charlotte Campus will welcome the following students to campus:

·         First-year freshmen, regardless of major

·         Culinary, Baking & Pastry Arts students

·         Students in majors that require labs

This decision allows us to reduce density in the classrooms while positioning our first-year students with a more traditional on-campus experience that is proven to affect persistence and retention. Students in required lab courses will have both face-to-face and remote instruction, which will be clearly outlined on your course schedule in jwuLink. Culinary and other laboratory classes will include Fridays and some holidays during the fall semester and will conclude in-person instruction by November 20 and transition to remote learning for the remainder of the semester.

Transforming Our Campuses

Each time the university has expanded into a city, it has revived an area fighting blight and abandonment or one in need of an institution to bring it back to life. Locating in struggling areas of a city means the opportunity to be the center of that area’s rejuvenation efforts.

In Providence, the university revitalized close to 100 acres of waterfront alongside our Harborside Campus, providing a stunning natural setting and a range of environmental and recreational benefits to the community.

The campus’ 82,000-square-foot Cuisinart Center for Culinary Excellence showcases stunning views of Narragansett Bay and is designed as the nation’s first LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified culinary lab.

Developments at Harborside include the Grace Welcome Center, which serves as home to culinary and graduate admissions, and the JWU Urban Coastal Greenway, a public walkway and open green space that connects our campus to the Narragansett Bay shoreline.

In Charlotte, JWU moved to a blighted area being redeveloped; today the campus encompasses 8 buildings on 13 acres in Uptown Charlotte.

By pursuing a nontraditional growth model, 花椒直播 is delivering career education to students in two US regions while benefiting these local economies and communities.
