Summer at JWU
Cook like a Pro
Explore summer programs at 花椒直播’s Providence Campus. We run immersive day cooking camps for kids and teens. Registration includes a daily lunch and afternoon snack and a keepsake apron.
Summer Cooking Camp for Kids
Our unique day camps are offered for kids (ages 8-12) looking to sharpen their cooking skills, explore global cuisines and cook like a pro.
Activities include culinary applications and demonstrations empowering our campers to craft regionally and globally inspired dishes. Campers will have the opportunity to work collaboratively within groups, in addition to personalized guidance from our College of Food Innovation & Technology (CFIT) instructors. The afternoon will be spent working on culinary or pastry-themed activities.
We will spend time exploring topics tailored to kids of this age group in a highly interactive and participative curriculum, while also providing plenty of time to relax, be social, and just have fun. By the end of the week, campers will have developed the ingredients for success that take them well beyond the kitchen.

Summer Cooking Camp for Teens
This unique day camp is offered for teens (ages 13-17) looking to sharpen their cooking skills in a professional-grade kitchen.
Five days of classes gives ample time to explore regional and global dishes, as well as baking and pastry applications. But it’s also a great way to build leadership skills, communication, critical thinking, teamwork and creativity.
The first half of the day, campers will be immersed into a myriad of culinary activities, led by our CFIT faculty experts. During the second half of the day, campers will shift gears to focus on baking and pastry applications — creating some sweet treats to take home to share with family.
