Audrey Roberts

Audrey Roberts earned a Master鈥檚 Degree in both Microbiology and Molecular Biology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She also earned a Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University in Miami. Her Master鈥檚 Degree research focused on the development of diagnostic procedures for disease causing mutations in the regulatory regions of the familial breast cancer genes BRCA I and BRCA II. The research was supported by M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Audrey Roberts has spent 16 years working and consulting in the fields of clinical molecular genetics, cytogenetics, and molecular cytogenetics. Her expertise is in developing and validating clinical diagnostic procedures. Audrey has also served as an education coordinator for Hilton Hotels and Ameripath. At Ameripath, she also developed a histology technologist training program in association with Florida Community College. Audrey Roberts transitioned into college level instruction in 2016.

Teaching Interests
Connecting with students with learning disabilities and student retention. Ms. Roberts works to make her classes interesting to visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners. She has experience teaching those with dyslexia, autism spectrum, and attention deficit disorders.
